Pop Culture

Since, I have been U.S, my personality was changed. Sometings are good, others are not good. For example, I was very energetic person in Korea, but now, I don't even know how can I be looked energetic person. Also, we have culture for elders, but here is less than Korea. I became a cool person in America, but became rude person in Korea. Like these, many thing have been changed but most of changing have same reason. That's the language. That's why I want to learn English as much as I can.

However, even language is the biggest problem, I aware of Korean people. I feel weird when I talk with Korean. Maybe its reason is that difference of culture for elder. In Korea there is respectful way to say for people. Even though a year is different between me and him, I need to use respect words for him. That's why it's difficult to say with Korean, because I never use it in America. Specially, it's more hard in class

Identity

First one is my nation, Korea's national flag. I was born in Korea and had grown up. Language, behavior, food. Everything of my lifestyle proves that.

In U.S, every moring I ride train and before go to school, I go to Starbucks and buy one Ice Vanilla Latte. This poster simply represent my life type in U.S.

Reading

I had a reading 'Rule of Thumbs' gave me thought for text message. I didn't like the text message at all for meeting new person before I read it. However, after that, I started to text for new people because I got a new student who is just like boyfriend in this reading. When I used text message for making time, it was very comfortable for making meeting, because it doesn't need to say 'hold on, let me check my schedule'. I just received text message and I had time to check my schedule for making time and then I sent back for message. This reading helped me for understanding about that kind of people.

Song

My favorite song is Amazing Grace. My favorite singers group also Il Divo who sang Amazing Grace. But, my favorite type of music isn't Popera, but Ballad. Of course I like Popera, but ballad has much more feeling. I can feel the singer's emotion in song. However, Popera can't really deliver those things because it really focus on skills of sing. Also I like Jazz, because it also I can feel singer's feeling in song.

Movie

I recommend 'Inception' very strongly to adults who liked to think deeply with movie, but I don't want to recommend it to young people, because I don't think they cna understand it. It's a like a mystery story book. So when you see this movie, you can't take rest even a moment and can't escape from strong tense. That's why I recommend it to adults.

Technology

I'm not really a person who can't live without technologies. However, I can't live without phone. I have job for teaching. It makes me to meet a lots of people. If I don't bring phone even a day, I will get trouble. It's not only a problem for make schedule, but also I can't confirm my appointments. If I go to meet him, but he won't come, I don't have anyway for asking to him without phone. That's why it's the most important technology for me.

It's the my glog poster in this semester. Tong and Suugii where my partner and we went to shoping mall for this project. In therem I realized that many people don't know about what is the high culture. They usually guess and reply about question for high culture. Also, I came to know shoping mall isn't only for shoping but we can do many things in there. When you come to this glog, we will know why I say this.
